Aspiring Writers Network

The difference between a successful writer and an unknown writer is tenacity

Hello and welcome to the Aspiring Writers Network!

This network is open to any and all writers looking to network and promote their work, look for reviews, comments, and suggestions!

Of course it is expected that everyone will play nicely together and be respectful of each other's opinions and posts.

My name is Debbie and I'm the 'Moderator' here!

I am a freelance writer presently writing web content at Associated Content. I facilitate a class Writing For Children at A-1 Writing Academy and I also post to various blogs, forums and chats as the mood strikes.

I write in the fiction and nonfiction categories and dabble in poetry as well.

I have various manuscripts 'out there' but am still awaiting replies from printed publications.

I am looking forward to completing a novel started last year and publishing a collection of poems as well as a collection of short stories. Thus I am an 'Aspiring Writer!'

I have one book that I think is ready for publication and two that are in the process and will soon be ready to go. I'm a little afraid of letting go and actually getting published because what if I'm rejected, but I must press through this. Others have.

HI Betsy....I can relate to the sending your work 'out there'. The waiting is the worst! I had several short stories rejected by magazines, I dusted them off gave them new cover letters and sent them elsewhere! I read someplace it takes 100 rejections to gain one acceptance so I'm at least 45 reject notices closer to getting published!

KEEP on Writing and Always ENJOY the process!
Blessings,
Debbie
