The difference between a successful writer and an unknown writer is tenacity

Many of you may already know me, so I'll keep this short. I am a 30 year old SAHM, with three lovely daughters. I've been married for 13yrs and each day is more interesting than the one before. I currently write mostly for Associated Content, but I do have one book published and am working on my next one.

I enjoy writing. It's like an obsession, once I get started. I enjoy when a thought just flow out of my head and ends up on my computer screen. It's very hard to write during the day because the children expect my attention. So my "sweet spot" of the day is from 10pm to midnight. That's the quietest time of day in this house, and the time in which I get the majority of my writing done.

That's it I guess. :-)

HI Christie!

Good to learn a bit about you! I'm also writing for Associated Content. I'm a night owl who writes from 9-???? Often not getting to bed much before 2 AM or later! ( With three little ones that wouldn't be good in your case!) What genre(s) do you write in? Have you started looking for publisher yet?
Have a great weekend.

Oh goodness, no 2am wouldn't be very good for me since the girls are up at 7am every morning......even though they are on summer break right now. LOL!

My published book is a humorous parenting book, but the supernatural (vampires, werewolves, etc) genre is my love. The book I'm working on right now is vamps & weres. I love it and the story just flows out so perfectly.

I haven't start looking for a publisher just yet. It looks like most big publisher won't even look at your stuff unless you have an agent and many agencies won't look at you unless you've been published. BUT, I will work on it. I found a website (linked on Random House's website) that lists a lot of new agencies that will take on new authors, so I'll probably check them out when the time comes.
