The difference between a successful writer and an unknown writer is tenacity
As our 'motto' says at the top of our homepage;
"The only difference between a successful writer and an unknown writer is tenacity."
That means to be successful as a writer we must be ever learning, and willing to make changes. Revisions and even complete re-writes are a part of the total expectations for an successful writer. In this 'quick fix' mentality that society has us so much a part of, we don't want to wait for success, we want it now and at times rewrites and revisions seem a 'waste of time'.
Another part of the tenacity issue is doing what it takes to get your 'stuff' out there! you can't 'just write it and hope someone finds it.' Even when you get that 'Great All American Novel' into print and hold the first copy in your shaking hands, it is not going to jump off the bookshelves and into anyone's shopping cart without a lot of promotion from someone and who better than YOU?
If you are here reading this, and you have joined this network, you ARE an 'Aspiring Writer'.
Are you ready, willing and eager to do what it takes to see your work published?
Roll up your sleeves, become tenacious and get to work!
